We know your business, we run your infrastructure, and we build the software.
Three corners that rarely meet in one place. Forty years in technology, writing software since 1993, and running IT for small businesses across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire since 2001.
Has your AI consultant ever actually built anything? We have — and we still do. Local, senior, and we answer the phone.

Two halves of the same job
Most of what a business needs from technology splits in two — the side that simply has to keep running, and the side that could be working better. We do both.
Keeping your technology running
- Managed IT support — proactive monitoring and a helpdesk that already knows your setup. Not a ticket queue.
- Cloud & Microsoft 365 — the systems your team works in every day, set up and managed properly.
- Cybersecurity — protection sized to your real risk, not scare-sold.
- Backup & recovery — automated, tested backups, so a bad day doesn't become a disaster.
Making your business work better
- AI & automation — taking the repetitive, manual work off your team: email triage, document handling, the admin that quietly eats hours.
- Bespoke software — when an off-the-shelf product doesn't fit, we build what does.
- Technology consultancy — honest advice on what's worth doing, what isn't, and what to do first.

Why Resolve is different
Most IT companies keep your systems running. We do that too. But three things, rarely found together, are what make us genuinely useful:
We are developers
When something is worth building, we build it ourselves — and have done since 1993. We don't hand you off to buy someone else's product.
We run your IT
Because we look after the systems you already use, we can see where a bit of software or AI would genuinely help — and where it would be a distraction not worth paying for.
We know small business
Decades of working with firms your size. We know where your time and money really go, and we price for businesses, not corporations.
When we recommend something, it's because we've weighed it honestly. When we build something, we deploy it, support it, and stay responsible for it.
Tim Winstanley, founder
Forty years in technology. Writing software since 1993. Running Resolve since 2001. Still the person who designs and builds the systems Resolve delivers, so when we advise on AI, it is the builder giving the advice.
Tim started as an electronic engineer with the Ministry of Defence, got into software through a CAD/CAM project that wasn't strictly his job, and has spent the years since building bespoke systems for businesses that could never normally afford them. He was applying computer vision to industrial problems in 2007, long before AI was a buzzword.

Things we've actually built
Most IT providers support systems. We build them too — here's what that looks like in practice.
Email that sorts itself
We build AI-powered systems that read a business's incoming email, sort it, flag what's urgent, and pull out the tasks and commitments buried inside it — turning a daily slog through the inbox into minutes. It's the thinking behind Sentinel, our own email-intelligence tool, now in pilot with local businesses.
Referral admin cut from days to minutes
A Worcester charity took in referrals by email — informal, inconsistent, slow to process. We built them a proper portal: referral partners submit through it, staff manage and report on it, and nothing gets lost. What used to take days now takes minutes.
Escaping expensive software — without losing the data
This time we were the client: locked into a PSA we had outgrown, with fifteen years of tickets, contracts and invoices inside it and a £25,000 three-year renewal looming. We built the tooling to get the data out cleanly, then replaced only the parts we actually used with something that fits. No painful cut-over.
Different trades, the same headaches
A solicitor, an accountant, an electrician and a charity look like very different businesses. Their back offices aren't. The same things eat the time everywhere — email that never ends, admin done by hand, the same forms filled in again and again, the jobs that slip through the cracks.
That is what we fix. We've done it for law firms, accountants, electricians, charities and construction firms — and the headache is remarkably similar whatever the trade. Whatever your business does, we improve the part that isn't the actual job.
Where we start
Bringing in new software or automation can feel like a risk. It shouldn't. Here's how we begin:
We learn how your business runs
Before anything else — no assumptions, no jargon. We look at how the work actually flows.
We make the essentials reliable
The IT that simply has to work, working. Steady ground before anything is built on top of it.
Then we look for the wins
Where software, automation or AI would genuinely save time — and we tell you honestly where it wouldn't.
If your IT mostly works but your team is still buried in admin, re-keying and jobs that slip through the cracks — that's exactly what we fix.

We're based in Malvern and have supported local businesses since 2001 — from Worcester and Malvern to Evesham, Droitwich, Pershore, Upton upon Severn, and across into Herefordshire and Gloucestershire. You get a direct line to people who know your setup — not a ticket number, and not an offshore call centre. Small enough to care, experienced enough to deliver.
